How to Use Dual Messenger on Samsung Galaxy Phones?
Dual Messenger, as the name suggests, lets you run two instances of a messaging app. It is a much-needed feature for those who want to manage a personal and professional messaging profile on the same device. Most OEMs do not offer cloning apps as an inbuilt feature. But, if you have a Samsung Galaxy phone, you are in luck.
Samsung Galaxy phones come with the Dual Messenger feature. So, you don’t need to look for third-party applications which might also steal your data. In this guide, we’ll help you set up and use the Dual Messenger feature on your Samsung Galaxy phone.
What is Dual Messenger?
Dual Messenger (also known as dual apps) creates a copy of a messaging application that works as a separate application. It allows you to use two Facebook, WhatsApp, or Facebook on a single device. The Dual Messenger feature does not work with all apps. However, the supported list of apps also includes Snapdragon, Skype, Viber, Telegram, and more.
The clone or second app created using Dual Messenger does not affect the main app. But, keep in mind that deleting the main application will automatically remove the cloned app. But, if you delete the cloned app, there will be no change to the main app.
How to use Dual Messenger on Samsung Galaxy phones?
First, you will need to download the messaging application you want to clone. After installing that app, follow these steps.
Step 1: Open the Settings app on your Galaxy phone.
Step 2: Scroll down until you find the Advanced features option.
Step 3: Tap on Advanced features.
Step 5: Scroll down a bit and tap on Dual Messenger.
Step 6: Now, you’ll see a list of supported apps. Toggle the app you want to clone.
Step 7: A dialogue box will open. Tap on the Install button.
Step 8: You are ready to use the second application.
You can find the second/cloned application in the app drawer. The second app can be identified by looking at its icon, which will have a Dual Messenger icon. Also, you will see the same icon on the lower-right side when the second app is getting loaded.
To start using the cloned app, open it on your phone and set up your second messaging account, just like you did on the primary application. The process remains the same.
